New Trailer for Quantum of Solace (Bond 22)!

Finally, this long awaited trailer has arrived! And might I say its absolutely amazing! Well, actually, we'll see when the movie comes out -- I've noticed that the new trend is to make mediocre movies, but with 'kickass' trailers.

Nevertheless, the new Bond -- Quantum of Solace! This movie picks up from Casino Royale -- with Bond seeking revenge for the loss of his love. They've done a great job with separating the 'new-Bond-look' from the first 20 movies with making him more dark -- described as a "rogue Bond". I like the theme that seems to be prevailing now -- giving these well known happy go-lucky characters a very dark appeal. I'm speaking in reference to the upcoming film "The Dark Knight".

Bond has major attitude, major anger management problems, and absolute zero respect for his authorities (I really think "M" is useless) -- and of course -- he has access to all the famous Bond Gadgets that I like to think I have access to as well.

Anyways -- the movie trailer -- check it out.

Mother's Junk Food Harm's Child

Really, I don't have much to say about this at all. Have a read if you want, here.

My attention was brought to the intro:

"Eating a poor diet when pregnant or breastfeeding may cause long-lasting health damage to the child, animal studies suggest."

Really? We know this now from animal studies??? Umm....

How to Trigger Green Traffic Lights

Very interesting article, especially for the drivers with bikes, scooters, and/or small cars. Worth a read for sure -- and I highly recommend this to those who know or are the type to stop at a red light well before the white line -- for some odd reason...

Man Sells 'Entire Life' for £192,000!

44 Year old Ian Usher just sold his entire life for £192,000 on e-bay! He 'expected' more, but has no regrets.. lol.. No I'm serious -- check it out here on BBC News UK.

(His house seems like its worth more than that...)

Usher sold his house, everything in it (car, jet ski's, etc) , an 'introduction' to all his friends, and chance to take over his sales assistant job at a rug shop -- !!!

He had a divorce with his wife of 5 years -- everything around him reminded him of her, so he had to let go -- and I suppose this was the best way!

Here's the link to alifeforsale.com -- this is his intro auction I suppose?

What sucks is that there were a lot of false bids on e-bay while this auction took place. Sucks because the numbers were at the millions (Australian dollars) -- and the "e-bay authorities" detected the false bids and had to adjust the bid's accordingly.

Meh, good for him I guess. But really now, I'm waiting to find out who this mystery person is that bought his life. The person remains a mystery until Ian has a phone call with him... lol -- no comment...

Expert Algorithm on Best Airfares

Yes there is such thing! I've been trying to convince my friends that buying a ticket early on the week is really cheaper than getting it on the weekend, and that leaving on a weekend is definitely going to cost you extra than leaving during the week. This article at wired magazine talks about Oren Etzioni -- the founder of this algorithm who later founded his company Farecast that plugs in this data for consumer use.

The website covers most major airports in the US and in Canada. This poses a slight problem for people like me who are not exactly in either country for the moment, but are looking forward to going to visit their families that are there. Farecast might not help, but the advice and tips sure do. Here's to saving a couple hundred bucks (I hope).

Also, I was disappointed to see that Microsoft has acquired Farecast... but thats just me.

Teenager Decapitated by Roller Coaster!

I can't believe it! Something that I always thought to be an "urban legend" -- and here it is -- a 17- year-old at 6 Flags, gets decapitated by the Batman Ride.

First of all, how is this possible?!?! The kid "scaled" two 6 foot fences. Hold up, so what you're saying is that the only thing that separates anybody from this enormous ride that we refer to as the BATMAN RIDE are two 6 foot fences? I mean I'm 6 foot tall... -- ummm...

Well, this kid scaled the fences to retrieve his hat that fell off when he was on the ride. According to the spokeswoman, "No one riding on the roller coaster was injured" -- well, thats nice -- it really is, but what about the 6 foot fence?

Cheating at Online Scrabble...

I was online playing scrabble with wifey (awwww).... She was winning.. KILLING ME! All of a sudden the alpha-male inside of me took over my whole body -- my whole persona. I went blank, and regained composure only to find myself staring at the screen where I had placed all the words and tiles that had been played. A separate popup window displayed the possible words that could be placed with their respective points.

I won.

Yea yea.. I told her after, that I had cheated. It didn't go over well... Honesty is not the best policy -- lol, no I suppose it is. Either way, for all of you that don't want wifey to win -- or just want to win in a shameful style -- here is the link to cheat at Scrabble, Super Scrabble, and Literati. Scroll to the bottom of the page to choose between the games. You can also find the link on my list of links at the right of the page.

A Security Scan that See's Through Clothes...

I came across this article during my regular, "read all the headlines so you can know something about whats going on..." adventures online. Apparently they now have an x-ray scanning machine for airport security -- that can and will see through your clothes, at the Kelowna International Airport.

So whats the big deal? Isn't that what x-rays do? They penetrate through your clothing and harder objects absorb those photons, while the softer ones let them through -- PRESTO -- the x'ray has now seen through my clothes.

Nevertheless I clicked on the link and saw the video. IT'S SHADY! Check it out here . For some reason this machine makes a "cartoon-like" image of your body, and places the objects that were found under your jacket, shirt, bra, underwear -- on this image. Making a 3-d-like image of your naked body strapped on with whatever it is that you didn't put through the x-ray that checks the luggage.

Wow... I will admit, I can be perverted, but I am also realistic. This is just going to be turned into porn. Forget celebrity sex tapes. This is going to start off as celebrities naked at the airport -- using "x-ray vision" -- and later turn into one of those additions to the ever so popular "voyeur sites". Hmm... 'I can't wait'....

What Did You Expect...?

My first blog. Ever. It's strange. As I write this, I imagine the thousands of other 'bloggers' writing their first blogs... Do they feel the way I do? Will anyone read this? What will people have to say? Is this all just ridiculous? Is this the stereotypical 'bloggers first blog' ? Am I writing to myself? Lol... I like the last part... Cause I think i started this to write to myself. To organize thoughts and ideas that would normally bore others to death -- into this area... So I can...bore...others.... here...

And so I end my first blog. Now that this is out of the way, lets hope for ... different... on whats to come... !
